Hernando Builders Association Christmas in July for Our Troops Success

The Hernando Builders Association held their third annual Christmas in July for our Troops General Membership Meeting July 27^th at Glen Lakes Country Club. Members of the HBA brought items to ship overseas to men and women in the military as part of their entry into the GMM. The Marine Corp League Detachment #708 Color Guard opened the meeting with the presentation of our country’s flag for the pledge of allegiance. Jeff West HBA president led the pledge of allegiance and gave an invocation before the members enjoyed an Italian Buffet.

The donations were collected all month and have been given to Maxine and Ed Kolbe of Brookridge for packing and shipping to Iraq and Afghanistan. The donations filled the trunk and back seat of the Kolbe’s car. Cash donations were also received and were applied to the shipping charges that will be incurred.
