Hernando Builders Association Offers a House for a Hole in One!

The Hernando Builders Association and their Spike Club are offering an opportunity to win a house during their Annual HBA Spike Club sponsored Golf Tournament, March 31^st, 2010 at The Dunes Golf Club at Seville. If you are the person to make a “Hole in One” at the predetermined par 3 hole you will win a house valued up to $150,000.

Entry into the amateur only tournament is $100 per player and is open to the general public as well as HBA members. The tournament is a 4 person team scramble with a shotgun start. Entry includes Lunch, Cart, Green Fees, Refreshments, Beer, Soda, and Bottled Water on the course. Check-in is at 11:00AM with lunch from 11:00AM to 12 Noon and Tee-off at 12:30PM. There are 36 team slots available on a “first come first served” basis. The deadline for entry and payment is March 22nd, 2010.

The house for a “Hole in One” contest is the first of its kind for the Hernando Builders Association. The winner of the $150,000 House “Hole in One” contest will have their choice of one of the following options; 1. An inventory home valued up to $150,000 built by one of the participating HBA Builders 2. A new home valued up to $150,000 built on your lot located in Hernando County, by one of the participating HBA builders or 3. The $150,000 cash used as a down payment on the home of your dreams on your lot in Hernando County built by one of the participating HBA builders. All closing fees, federal income and property taxes are the responsibility of the winner. The winner of the Hole in One contest must select their builder from the list of participating HBA builders within 60 days after the golf tournament. The participating HBA builders are; Artistic Homes, BJH Construction General Contractors, Hartland Homes,  Pastore Custom Builders, Ron King Construction , Royal Coachman Homes.

HBA Sporting Clays Tournament Winners Announced

The Hernando Builders Association held their 4^th Annual “Bang Bang” Sporting Clays Tournament Saturday, February 6^th at Deer Creek Sporting Clays Tournament.

The 83 shooters enjoyed a cool morning on the course followed by lunch provided by Sonny’s Real Pit BBQ of Spring Hill. Raffle prizes were drawn and a shotgun was raffled off as well.

The awards for the top teams and shooters were as follows; Top Shooter –Joe Uerly, tied for 2^nd place shooter went to Chick Concklin and Josh McDermott, tied for 3rd place went to Robert Baum and greg Abbott.^.

Top female shooter went to Lisa Unterweger.

Top team went to ProBuild team #2 with Ernie Ramirez, Dan Kavouras, Rex Adams and Rory Adams. 2^nd place team went to Ashton Pools team with Moe Weisberg, Roy Fallon, Greg Abbott and Dale Ashton.

3^rd place team went to ProBuild team #1 with Jim Futrell, Chick Concklin, Keith Poe and Jim Rizzatello. All in good fun the Turkey Award went to Matt Foreman.

A portion of the proceeds raised from this event will go to the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranch.

The Hernando Builders Association will hold its 4th Annual Sporting Clays Tournament, Saturday Feb 6th, 2010 at Deer Creek Sporting Clays Range. This fun event is open to the general public as well as HBA members. The event cost has stayed the same all four years at $99 per shooter on a team of four. This is a 100 shot tournament with a catered lunch, raffle prizes and awards for the top three teams and individuals. HBA Spike Club presents scholarship

The HBA Spike Club presents students scholarships every year to students who want to further their education in a building industry related field. The 2009 scholarship winner this year went to Britton Cox of Spring Hill. Robin Pastore HBA Membership Chairwoman presented Britton with a certificate of achievement at the HBA October Installation and Awards banquet.

HBA awarded Lifetime Honorary Member of the FL Sheriffs Association

Andy Colombino, 1^st Vice President of the Hernando Builders Association accepts an award

from  Shep Young,  Donor Relations Officer from the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches.

The award honors the Hernando Builders Association as a Lifetime Honorary Member of the Florida Sheriffs Association for their donations to the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches.

 The HBA has given $2500 over the past three years from their Sporting Clays Tournament to the Youth Ranch.
