LEAD PAINT CERTIFICATION CLASS AT THE HBA
As many of you may know the EPA Lead Paint Rule went in to effect April 22nd, 2010.
If you do any type of work that involves pre 1978 homes where there could be lead paint disturbed during remodeling or window and door replacement you must be certified to do this work. With the number of homes in our area that are affected by this rule many of you going to need this certification. The fines for getting caught without it are staggering. $37,000 per incident per day is the fine from the EPA.
With this in mind we have set up a class for you to obtain your certification.
It will be held on Tuesday, June 8th at the HBA office 8am to 5pm.
The University of Florida will be teaching the class and doing demonstrations of the proper procedures. The cost for HBA members is $275 and includes breakfast and lunch, sponsored by Sherwin Williams.
Here are some links that you can go to for more information on the EPA Rule.

The class is limited to the first 30 who sign up.
Payment must be made to the HBA prior to the June 8th class.
We accept cash, check, M/C or Visa.
Please call Brenda at the HBA or email her directly to reserve your place in the class. If we reach the maximum number for the class we will start a waiting list and if we have enough interest we will schedule a second class. Please don’t delay on getting your RSVP back to the HBA office.
We are happy to be able to provide this service to our members and do hope that you will take advantage of this class.
